[755-1] User-defined port placement

One more frequently-asked-question:

"How do you put the ports at specific side. The homework ask me to put
the A port at the top side, B port at the left side.... "

The procedure is as follows:

1. After you place the cells, you have to place *all* the ports.
Use any of the automatic ways of doing this (Detailed, Even, or Local).
You should then see the ports placed at the green border of the cell.

2. Select the ports that you want to move. An easy way to do so is
with the <Select->Select->By-Name> menu. At the form that will appear
select as "Object Name" the name of the ports that you want to select,
e.g., A(1), A(2), etc. Unfortunately, I did not find an easy way to
select busses, except of selecting individually all the bus ports.

3. Select Autoplace Ports again, but this time the placement method should be
"User-defined". Place the selected ports wherever you want them.

4. Repeat for all ports.

5. Do the routing.
